Packing for a vaca: How can you live on only your carry on?

I'm a big fan of traveling, both for work and play. The world is a BIG place, and if you don't experience it, you are missing out, my friend!

1. "Go bag': We've all heard of the pre labor 'go bag' designed for perspective parents... but what about your go bag for travel or work? In my 'go bag', I have the following:
- #BurtsBees Lip Gloss
- #Marriott Lotion (perfect size, and personally love the #AvedaRosemaryandMint one)
- Spare pens (multiple as folks always end up "borrowing" or stealing)
- Purell (for those lovely #AmericanAirlines flights)
- Hair-ties (I love #Kitsch)
2. The age old question - should you roll or duffle?: My opinion on this one is pretty straightforward. If it's an overnight, bring a duffle, and wear the same bottoms (or shoes) if you can both days. Anything more, or if you're going to be lugging your luggage around (see what I did there?), roller bag 100 percent.
3. Mini and Shoe Bags: I love little bags. Makeup bags. "Dop kit" bags (I did not grow up in a military family but am sometimes asked). Shoe bags. Jewelry Bags. I don't discriminate ... I just love! Use these little guys to your advantage to keep yourself organized, but don't forget them in the hotel!
4. Type of Luggage: I am a HUGE promoter of #BriggsAndRiley luggage. Lifetime warranty, beautiful green (or black) color - what's not to love? That is a trick question - there is so much to love!
5. Layer, and Layer Again: Be thoughtful on not only what you pack, but what you wear. I always, and I say always, wear my heaviest shoes (mostly my #StuartWeitzmanBoots or #GREATS_Sneaks) and my heaviest jacket. Don't forget to wear a jacket on the plane as it can get chilly at 37,000 feet :) Also - who has time to iron these days? Bring your pieces that can be folded, worn, and folded again.
Safe travels folks!
